Detailed description
Detailed description
The Navico WR10 wireless remote control and BT1 base station is a remote-control solution designed for managing autopilots from B&G, Simrad, and Lowrance brands. Unlike the wired control panels in the range, this system gives the helmsman total freedom of movement on deck thanks to Bluetooth connectivity with a range exceeding 30 meters. The BT1 base station integrates directly and easily into the boat’s NMEA 2000 network via a Micro-C connection, ensuring instant and secure transmission of commands to the autopilot computer.
Precise control and intuitive interface
The WR10 remote control features 5 buttons for complete and responsive autopilot management. Heading adjustments are made with high precision, in 1° increments (short press) or 10° increments (long press). It manages Auto, Standby, NoDrift, and Wind modes, and includes an Autotack function for automatic tacking. A bicolor LED provides immediate visual feedback: green to confirm command acknowledgment by the network, red if rejected. This feedback is a major safety advantage compared to basic remotes that lack visual acknowledgment.
Technical specifications and NMEA 2000 integration
Designed to withstand harsh marine environments, the remote control has dual IPX6 and IPX7 waterproofing and operates autonomously with 2 AAA batteries. The BT1 base station, also IPX7 certified, is powered directly by the NMEA 2000 network (9–16 V DC) with minimal consumption under 12 V of less than 100 mA. The system is designed for operating temperatures from -20°C to +55°C. The remote can be attached using a neck strap or mounted on the wrist, offering maximum flexibility during maneuvers.
