Detailed description
Detailed description
Designed for through-hull installation, the XSONIC AIRMAR P19 20 DEGREE transducer from Navico Group is an Airmar plastic tilted-element transducer optimized for vessels with a deadrise angle between 16° and 24°. This transducer provides depth and water temperature data, even at high speeds.
Acoustic performance and compatibility
The Airmar P19 20 DEGREE transducer operates at frequencies of 200/83 kHz, offering power between 250 W and 500 W. It enables depth detection up to 274 meters (900 feet) and includes a fast-response water temperature sensor. Its beam angle is 21° for 200 kHz and 38° for 83 kHz. It is compatible with fiberglass and metal hulls but is not recommended for wooden hulls.
Tilted Element™ design and installation
Thanks to Airmar’s Tilted Element™ technology, the ceramic element is mounted at a 20° angle within the housing, compensating for hull deadrise to ensure a horizontal beam orientation and optimized echo return. The low-profile design of the transducer, with only 5 mm (3/16") of protrusion below the hull, minimizes drag. Installation requires a 51 mm (2 inch) hole and is simplified by a rubber gasket for sealing on irregular hull surfaces. The 9-meter (30-foot) cable features a right-angle exit for space savings and enhanced protection.
Reliability and integration
The XSONIC AIRMAR P19 20 DEGREE transducer’s urethane plastic housing meets ABYC H-27 standards, ensuring robustness in marine environments. Ideal for boats up to 9 meters (30 feet) in overall length, this transducer is equipped with an 8-pin connector for standardized integration with compatible electronic systems.
