Detailed description
Detailed description
The XSONIC Airmar TM150M is a CHIRP transducer for transom mounting, designed for freshwater, coastal, or inland fishing. It provides detailed depth and water temperature readings. This 300 W model operates on a CHIRP mid-band frequency range of 95 to 155 kHz, with a total bandwidth of 60 kHz. It is suitable for boats up to 8 meters (25 feet) in length, with compatibility for transoms inclined at 3° to 20°.
Technical Capabilities and Performance
The TM150M can reach a maximum depth of 183 meters (600 feet), delivering accurate depth data and rapid water temperature detection. Its beam angles range from 26° to 17°, which is effective for detecting fish near structures and suspended fish. The transducer features a single broadband ceramic with a plastic/urethane radiating surface for marine durability. It is compatible with fiberglass, wood, or metal hulls and recommended for outboard or inboard/outboard (I/O) boats with planing hulls.
Integration and Advanced Features
Equipped with a 10-meter (33-foot) cable and a 9-pin connector specifically for Navico systems (Simrad/Lowrance), the XSONIC Airmar TM150M uses CHIRP technology for superior target resolution and better depth penetration compared to single-frequency sonars. It also benefits from Airmar’s XID® technology, which enables automatic configuration of the fishfinder to the transducer and continuous monitoring of ceramic operating temperature. The transducer profile can be displayed directly on the OEM fishfinder, ensuring optimal target clarity. A plastic fairing block protects the housing from front impacts, making it functional up to 44 knots (50 MPH).
