Detailed description
Designed for navigation and sport fishing, the RAYMARINE AXIOM+ 7 RV (E70635) multifunction touchscreen offers a compact solution with advanced fishfinder capabilities. It includes a built-in 600W fishfinder module supporting DownVision and RealVision 3D technologies. This setup enables detailed visualization of underwater structure and fish, distinguishing the AXIOM+ 7 RV from standard AXIOM+ models without these integrated fishfinder features. Wi-Fi is also integrated for connectivity.
Software and navigation
Running on the LightHouse 4 operating system (version 4.10.149), the device supports auto-route creation, waypoint and track management. Compatibility with Suzuki systems via a dedicated app facilitates engine data integration, including engine selection, data display, and alerts. The device is also compatible with eS and gS Series displays, as well as Quantum radars.
Integration and data
The AXIOM+ 7 RV supports various data overlays, including battery, engine, boat, depth, distance, fuel, environment, GPS, heading, navigation, autopilot, speed, time, wind, tank levels, load sensors, and generator data. Its network connectivity via YachtSense Link and compatibility with Quantum radar antennas strengthen its role within a Raymarine ecosystem. Calibration functions for the transducer, RealVision AHRS, and iTC-5 sensors are available to optimize performance.
Positioning and installation
Compared to competitors such as the Garmin ECHOMAP Ultra series or B&G Zeus³S, the AXIOM+ 7 RV positions itself as a versatile and high-performance option for medium-sized vessels requiring an all-in-one solution for navigation and underwater detection. It stands out from Axiom Pro or XL models by its 7-inch screen size, making it suitable for smaller consoles or as a secondary display. The product is shipped without chartplotter or transducer, allowing users to select these components based on their specific needs. Detailed technical drawings outline minimum clearance dimensions for cables (transducer, power, accessory, network) for bracket, flush, and front-panel mounting, facilitating integration.
