Detailed description
Detailed description
Designed for direct integration with Raymarine underwater detection systems, the Raymarine CPT-S E70341 bronze through-hull depth sounder offers HIGH CHIRP conical beam detection capability. This depth sounder is specifically suited to hulls with a deadrise angle of 16° to 24° thanks to its integrated 20° angle, ensuring optimal vertical beam performance. It comes with a 10-meter cable, facilitating installation on a variety of vessels.
Positioning and CHIRP technology
The CHIRP (Compressed High-Intensity Radiated Pulse) technology in the CPT-S range stands out for its ability to emit a frequency sweep over a wide band, providing better target separation and superior image clarity compared to traditional fixed-frequency depth sounders. Unlike DownVision depth sounders (CPT-D), which excel in structural seabed imaging, or newer systems like RealVision 3D, the CPT-S HIGH CHIRP focuses on precise fish detection and water column analysis with a conical beam. It is compatible with Raymarine CP100 depth sounder modules and Dragonfly multifunction displays equipped with this technology.
Installation and compliance
The through-hull design of the E70341 depth sounder ensures permanent installation and minimal hydrodynamic performance impact. Made of bronze, it is particularly well-suited to fiberglass and wooden hulls, offering enhanced durability in marine environments. This depth sounder complies with the essential requirements of European Directive 2013/53/EU and EN ISO 8846:2017, attesting to its safety and electromagnetic compatibility. It is imperative to refer to the installation manuals for connection details and full technical specifications, and to never operate it out of the water to avoid overheating.
