Detailed description
Detailed description
Designed for next-generation radar systems, the Raymarine Cyclone 3' (E70628) antenna is a key component of the Cyclone series. It is specifically designed to integrate with Cyclone (E70620) and Cyclone Pro (E70621) pedestals, requiring the VCM100 voltage converter module (E70648) for operation. This 3-foot antenna is the most compact option in the Cyclone range, which also includes 4- and 6-foot versions, providing a solution for vessels with limited installation space.
Integration and Advanced Features
The Cyclone 3' antenna enables full use of Cyclone radar capabilities, including Doppler processing for identifying moving targets and ARPA features for automatic tracking, subject to the software requirements of compatible multifunction displays and required data sources. Its design complies with safety and electromagnetic compatibility standards (in accordance with health/safety, EMC, and radio spectrum usage requirements), ensuring conformity with Directive 2014/53/EU.
Technical Specifications and Installation
Measuring 1080 mm in total length, this antenna is designed to be mounted on the rotation center of Cyclone pedestals. It features M10 mounting points (4 positions) with a 70 mm spacing, and a mounting area 343 mm wide. The power and data cables must follow a minimum bend radius of 52 mm to ensure connection integrity. Detailed connection information and specifications are available in installation manual 87402 (Rev 8).
