Designed for sailing and small powerboats, the Raymarine Evolution Pilot T70281 autopilot integrates a p70s control head and an ACU-100 actuator control unit. This system is compatible with 0.5-litre hydraulic pumps, as well as wheel drive (Wheel Drive) and tiller drive (Tiller Drive) systems for versatile installation.
Evolution System Integration and Performance
The core of the Evolution system is the EV-1 sensor, which provides heading, pitch, roll, and yaw data. This technology enables the Raymarine Evolution Pilot T70281 to analyse the vessel’s movements in real time and optimise steering. The EV-1 offers automatic magnetic field compensation, simplifying installation and commissioning without complex calibration.
Positioning within the Raymarine Range
The Raymarine Evolution Pilot T70281 autopilot, equipped with the ACU-100, is positioned as a solution suitable for low-current drive units within the Evolution series. The ACU-100 is specifically designed to manage small-capacity hydraulic cylinders (0.5 litre) or wheel drive and tiller drive systems. For vessels requiring more powerful drive units, Raymarine offers the ACU-200, ACU-300, and ACU-400, capable of handling higher-capacity hydraulic cylinders and electric motors. The included p70s control head is a colour LCD screen with buttons, providing intuitive control.
