Detailed description
Detailed description
The Raymarine Raystar 150 (RS150) GPS antenna is a high-precision positioning receiver designed to provide reliable and fast navigation data to marine electronic systems. With a 10 Hz refresh rate, it updates position, heading, and speed ten times per second, ensuring smooth display on your multifunction display and optimal responsiveness from your autopilot.
10 Hz Positioning Performance
The main feature of the Raystar 150 is its high update frequency. While standard antennas operate at 1 Hz, the RS150 offers ten times the performance. This advantage is critical for high-speed boats but also improves the accuracy of MARPA and AIS target tracking, as well as providing stable and responsive course-over-ground (COG) data to the autopilot, optimizing course-keeping and energy consumption.
Simplified Integration with SeaTalk NG Network
Connected via the SeaTalk NG network, Raymarine’s proprietary standard compatible with NMEA 2000, the Raystar 150 is easy to install. A single cable supplies power and transfers data to all devices connected to the network. This antenna is the external sensor of choice for the Axiom display range when the internal GPS is obstructed by metal structures or when a more precise reference position is required. It replaces older generations of antennas like the RS130 and is a direct equivalent to Garmin’s GPS 19x or B&G’s ZG100 sensors, with native integration into the Raymarine ecosystem.
Robust Design for Marine Environments
Certified to IPX6, the Raystar 150 is built to withstand the harshest marine conditions. Its waterproof housing allows for deck or mast mounting, ensuring optimal satellite reception at all times. Its compact and discreet design integrates easily on any type of vessel.
