Detailed description
Detailed description
Designed for advanced Raymarine fishfinder systems, the plastic through-hull portside 12° HV-300 HyperVision depth sounder, part number R70725, provides an underwater detection solution for planing-hull vessels. This depth sounder uses Raymarine’s HyperVision™ technology, enabling detailed imaging of the seabed and underwater structures. It is specifically designed for installation on the port side of the vessel, with a 12° correction angle to compensate for hull deadrise.
Positioning and HyperVision™ technology
The HV-300 HyperVision depth sounder differs from transom-mounted models like the HV-100 by its through-hull installation, which ensures optimal performance at high speeds and minimal exposure to turbulence. Model R70725 is the portside version (HV-300THP-P), complementing the starboard version (HV-300THP-S, R70726), offering installation flexibility to adapt to hull configurations and avoid interference with appendages or propellers. HyperVision™ technology integrates DownVision, SideVision, and RealVision functions, delivering high-clarity sonar images for fish and structure identification. This product complies with EMC Directive 2014/30/EU.
Installation and maintenance recommendations
Installing the HV-300 depth sounder requires the use of marine-grade neutral-cure polyurethane sealant, excluding acetate- or silicone-based sealants to prevent damage to plastic components. For maintenance, applying a water-based antifouling paint is recommended, avoiding ketone- or copper-based paints that could affect performance or warranty. It is essential to test and use the depth sounder only when the vessel is in the water to prevent overheating. Installation by a Raymarine-certified professional is recommended to qualify for extended product warranty.
