Detailed description
Detailed description
Designed to optimize interaction with Raymarine multifunction displays (MFD), the RMK-10 remote keypad provides a physical control interface for navigation. This keypad improves onboard ergonomics by enabling precise management of MFD functions, even in demanding marine conditions where using a touchscreen may be less practical.
Control and installation flexibility
The RMK-10 stands out for its ability to be installed in portrait or landscape mode, adapting to various helm configurations. It can be flush-mounted or surface-mounted, offering flexibility in integrating the dashboard layout. Water resistance is a key feature for the marine environment. Its controls allow navigating menus, switching between active windows or connected screens, and controlling key MFD functions.
Integration and positioning
The RMK-10 remote keypad connects via RayNet, Raymarine’s marine Ethernet network technology, ensuring smooth communication with compatible MFDs. Compared to an exclusively touch-based interface like the Axiom displays, the RMK-10 offers redundancy and precise control, valued by navigators. It complements existing systems by providing a physical alternative to touch interactions, similar to how some chartplotters, such as B&G Zeus³, integrate physical keypads for fast and reliable navigation. The RMK-10 is an accessory that enhances the control capability of your Raymarine navigation system.
