Detailed description
Detailed description
Designed for demanding sailors and fishermen, the Raymarine bronze through-hull transducer pack port and starboard 20° RV-220 RealVision 3D is a subsurface detection solution dedicated to Raymarine Axiom multifunction displays. This system uses RealVision 3D technology, which combines DownVision, SideVision, and a three-dimensional view of the seabed, providing detailed insight into underwater structure and fish location.
Integration and technical performance
The RV-220 is specifically designed for direct connection to Raymarine Axiom chartplotters, simplifying installation and optimizing integration within the LightHouse 4 ecosystem. The two bronze through-hull transducers, angled at 20°, are suited to hulls with a deadrise angle between 16° and 24°. This port and starboard configuration ensures extended sonar coverage and optimized 3D imaging, reducing shadow zones beneath the boat.
Positioning and advantages
Compared to transom-mounted or plastic through-hull transducers, the RV-220 bronze model offers increased durability and consistent performance even at high speeds, thanks to its robust through-hull mounting. Bronze transducers are generally preferred for fiberglass and wooden hulls, ensuring superior longevity in the marine environment. This pack stands out for its ability to deliver complete RealVision 3D data, a feature that positions it as an advanced option for underwater mapping and target detection, surpassing the capabilities of traditional 2D or basic CHIRP sounders.
