Detailed description
Detailed description
The Raymarine RVM1600 RealVision fishfinder module is designed to extend the underwater detection capabilities of compatible navigation systems. It integrates a 1 kW CHIRP sounder along with DownVision, SideVision, and RealVision 3D imaging technologies. These features enable detailed and three-dimensional visualization of the seabed, structures, and underwater targets.
RealVision system integration and performance
The RVM1600 is a key component for recreational boaters and anglers seeking a complete view of their underwater environment. It operates in conjunction with multifunction displays (MFD) and RealVision 3D or RealVision Max 3D transducers, such as the RVM-100 (transom-mount) and RVM-400 (in-hull) series. The maximum cable length between the transducer and the fishfinder module or multifunction display must not exceed 18 meters (59 feet) to ensure optimal performance and prevent system damage.
Advanced fishfinder technologies: RealVision 3D, DownVision, SideVision
With the RVM1600, users benefit from the combined advantages of multiple fishfinder technologies. DownVision provides a photographic view of structures and fish directly beneath the boat, while SideVision extends this detection to the sides to scan large areas. RealVision 3D merges this data to create a three-dimensional representation of the underwater terrain, facilitating the identification of depth changes and fish habitats. The 1 kW CHIRP sounder ensures target detection at significant depths, outperforming lower-power sounders.
