Detailed description
Detailed description
Designed for optimal integration on fiberglass hulls, the Raymarine CPT-S through-hull plastic transducer (part number A80448) delivers precise underwater imaging thanks to its HIGH CHIRP technology and 20° conical beam. This transducer is ideal for boats with a moderate to pronounced V-hull, where the 20° angle effectively compensates for hull tilt, ensuring stable vertical sonar coverage and reliable target detection. This type of transducer is suitable for hulls with a more pronounced deadrise (approximately 16–24°).
CHIRP Technology and Positioning
The CPT-S A80448 uses CHIRP technology for improved target separation and higher resolution, allowing users to clearly identify underwater structures and fish schools. Unlike the 0° conical beam CPT-S transducers (such as the plastic E70339 or bronze A80446) designed for flat hulls, or the 20° models (bronze E70341 or Dragonfly A80545) intended for more pronounced deadrises, this 20° version is designed for more pronounced deadrises, providing a solution for more sharply V-shaped hulls. Its through-hull installation minimizes turbulence, ensuring consistent sonar performance even at high speeds—a feature often harder to achieve with transducers mounted on the transom.
Integration and Compatibility
The CPT-S transducer is certified compliant with standards 2013/53/EU and EN ISO 8846:2017, attesting to its reliability and safety for the marine environment. It comes with a 10-meter cable, facilitating connection to compatible Raymarine depth sounder modules. While specifically designed for Raymarine DownVision™ systems, its versatility makes it a suitable choice for various Raymarine fishfinders that support CPT-S transducers. Maintenance is simplified, with the option to apply water-based antifouling paint to prevent marine growth and maintain optimal performance.
