Detailed description
Detailed description
Designed for coastal and pleasure navigation, the Raymarine E26006-PZ triducer is a multifunction transducer intended for installation on a stern mount. This P65 model integrates three essential functions: depth measurement, speed, and water temperature. It comes with a 9-meter cable, facilitating its connection to Raymarine multifunction displays (MFD) or compatible instruments.
Integration and Performance of the P65 Triducer
The Raymarine E26006-PZ P65 triducer provides a complete solution for collecting fundamental marine data. Compared to thru-hull transducers, the P65’s stern mount installation simplifies setup by avoiding hull penetration below the waterline. This feature makes it particularly suitable for planing hulls or vessels where a thru-hull installation is impractical or undesirable. While the P65 remains a proven reference, newer CHIRP triducers offer improved bottom detection in certain conditions but at a higher cost.
Compatibility and Positioning
This triducer integrates with Raymarine navigation systems, including the Axiom and Element ranges, as well as older multifunction displays compatible with analog transducers or via a conversion module. It stands as a reliable and cost-effective option for recreational boaters seeking accurate basic data without the installation requirements of thru-hull transducers. For applications demanding extreme precision at high speed or in deep waters, transducers such as the Airmar B744V (thru-hull) or the Airmar TM260 (stern mount, more powerful) may be considered, but the P65 remains a reference for most recreational uses.
