AD80 Analog Control Board
Detailed description
Detailed description
The Simrad AD80 analog control board is a genuine Navico service part designed for Simrad commercial autopilot systems in the AP50, AP60, AP70, and AP80 families. As an integrated component of the AC85 computer, it transmits control signals to rudder or thruster actuators.
Technical role
The AD80 converts the computer’s digital command into an analog signal suitable for actuators with analog input: hydraulic pumps, servo-controlled electric motors, linear actuators. It also manages position feedback and enables ON/OFF or proportional control depending on the system configuration.
Main specifications
- Analog control interface for rudder or bow thruster actuators
- Compatible with ON/OFF and proportional commands
- Manages angle feedback returns
- PCB-only format, to be inserted into the AD80 module (full module reference 000-10191-001) or directly into the AC85 computer
- Weight ≈ 0.2 kg
Compatibility
AC85 computer, Simrad commercial autopilot systems AP50, AP60, AP70, and AP80. Designed for maintenance and identical replacement of original boards in existing installations.
