Detailed description
The Simrad GO7 XSR is a 7-inch multifunction display designed for sportboats, dayboats, and smaller center consoles, integrating advanced navigation and fish-finding features. Its 7-inch LED color screen delivers a resolution of 800 x 480 pixels and a brightness of 1200 nits, with viewing angles of 80° (up/down, left/right), ensuring clear readability in varying lighting conditions.
Fishfinder and imaging capabilities
This model ships with the Active Imaging 3-in-1 transducer, combining CHIRP sonar, SideScan, and DownScan Imaging™. This technology enhances the identification of underwater structures and fish, improving detail and range. The FishReveal™ Smart Target View feature simplifies target differentiation. The transducer supports CHIRP Medium and High frequencies (83/200kHz) as well as 455/800kHz. The GO7 XSR also supports Broadband Sounder™, CHIRP, StructureScan® HD, and ForwardScan™ sonars with compatible transducers.
Navigation and connectivity
The Simrad GO7 XSR includes a 10Hz GPS receiver compatible with WASS, MSAS, EGNOS, and GLONASS, providing a horizontal accuracy of 3 meters. It can store up to 6,000 waypoints, 500 routes (with a maximum of 100 points per route), and 50 tracks (up to 12,000 points). The unit features a Micro SD slot for maps up to 32GB (NTFS format for >32GB). Connectivity includes an NMEA 2000® Micro-C port, internal Wi-Fi, and Bluetooth. It is compatible with Simrad Broadband 3G™/4G™ and Halo™ Pulse Compression radar systems via a 1 Mbit Ethernet port.
Additional features and system integration
The intuitive multi-touch interface, similar to smartphone operation, allows customization of home screens and split-screen views. The chartplotter supports various charting options, including C-MAP (often bundled Discover charts), Navionics, and Insight, offering detailed vector charts, high-resolution bathymetry, and Easy Routing™. Integrated Wi-Fi enables screen mirroring to mobile devices and software updates. NMEA 2000® integration supports engine performance monitoring, Simrad autopilot control, and entertainment systems. TripIntel™ trip planning is included. The GO7 XSR also supports SiriusXM satellite weather modules (North America only) and GRIB weather data.
