Detailed description
Detailed description
The Simrad RF300 Rudder Feedback is a high-resolution rudder angle sensor designed for autopilot systems on boats equipped with inboard engines. It provides precise data on the rudder position, essential for smooth and accurate autopilot operation.
Technical specifications
This sensor uses a variable frequency output for direct connection to autopilot computers via a two-wire interface. Its center frequency is 3400 Hz, with a 20 Hz variation per degree of rudder movement. The unit ships with a 10-meter cable and a transmission link kit to simplify installation. Weighing approximately 0.5 kg, the RF300 is a rugged unit designed to withstand harsh marine environments.
Compatibility and compliance
The Simrad RF300 is compatible with various Simrad autopilot computers, including models AC70, AD80, SD80, NAC-3, and H5000. It is primarily used on inboard-powered boats requiring rudder angle display on the autopilot. This product has been tested and declared compliant with the requirements of IEC 60945:2002 for maritime navigation and radiocommunication equipment systems, as well as the Australian Radiocommunications (Electromagnetic Compatibility) Standard 2008 (Level 2).
