Solenoid drive PCB SD80

The Simrad SD80 solenoid drive PCB is an original Navico service part designed for the Simrad commercial autopilot systems in the AP50, AP60, AP70 and AP80 families. It controls hydraulic actuators for rudder and bow thruster via their solenoid valves, with galvanic isolation.

Technical role

The SD80 provides the power and logic required to drive the solenoid valves of a hydraulic rudder or bow thruster actuator. It supports on/off and proportional control modes, with galvanically isolated output to protect the computer. The PCB also manages rudder angle feedback returns (frequency, voltage or current) and digital handshake with the drive.

⚠️ Navico status — end of production

This reference 000-10587-001 is now classified as Discontinued by Navico — production has ceased and only residual stock is available. If you have a foreseeable maintenance project on an AP50/AP60/AP70/AP80 equipped with an SD80, we recommend anticipating procurement before definitive depletion.
