Detailed description
Detailed description
Designed for demanding marine electrical systems, the Argofet 200-2 battery splitter from VICTRON ENERGY allows charging two separate battery banks from a single alternator or charger without directly connecting the batteries to each other. This technology, based on FET transistors, ensures an almost zero voltage drop, optimizing charge efficiency and battery lifespan.
Electrical integration and performance
The Argofet 200-2 model supports a maximum charge current of 200 A and a maximum alternator current of 200 A, making it suitable for medium to high-power installations. It automatically manages nominal battery voltages of 12 V and 24 V. Its robust M8 bolt connections ensure secure fastening of high-gauge cables.
Advanced features and installation
With dimensions of 65 x 120 x 200 mm and a weight of 1.4 kg, this splitter includes a limited current supply function. This is activated by connecting the "current supply" flat terminal to the engine on/off switch, powering the alternator’s B+ terminal only when the engine is running. A minimum cable cross-section of 2.5 mm² is required for this optional connection. Installation must be carried out on a non-flammable surface due to the possible hot surface during operation.
