The Victron Energy BlueSolar MPPT 250/100-Tr VE.Can solar charge controller is designed to maximize energy harvest from photovoltaic panels and efficiently charge various battery types. With a maximum charge current of 100 amperes and a maximum PV open-circuit voltage of 250V (150V responsibly), it is suited for high-power solar installations.
Performance and efficiency
This controller integrates ultra-fast MPPT technology, which continuously monitors the voltage and current of solar panels to ensure maximum energy recovery, even under partially cloudy skies. Its advanced partial shading detection algorithm optimizes the maximum power point (MPP) under variable lighting conditions. The conversion efficiency of the BlueSolar MPPT 250/100-Tr VE.Can exceeds 98%, with standby consumption below 35 mA at 12V and less than 20 mA at 24V.
Compatibility and system integration
The controller automatically recognizes 12V, 24V, 36V, or 48V battery systems. It offers a nominal PV power of 1450W at 12V, 2900W at 24V, and 5800W at 48V. Thanks to the VE.Can communication interface, it enables networking of multiple controllers, supporting up to 25 synchronized units for large-scale solar installations. It features eight preprogrammed battery charge profiles and fully customizable charge algorithms, compatible with lead-acid, AGM, gel, and lithium batteries.
Robustness and advanced features
The Victron BlueSolar MPPT 250/100-Tr VE.Can is equipped with an internal temperature sensor for temperature-compensated charging, optimizing battery lifespan. Its fanless design ensures silent operation and increased durability through natural convection cooling. It provides comprehensive electronic protections against overheating (with power reduction), short circuits, PV polarity reversal, and PV reverse current. The protection rating is IP43 for electronic components and IP22 for the connection area, ensuring resistance to marine environments. PV wiring is via screw terminals (Tr).
