Compatibility and accuracy
The VE.Can resistive tank sender adapter is compatible with resistive level sensors compliant with European standards (0-180 Ohm) and American standards (240-30 Ohm). It provides measurement accuracy of ±1%, ensuring reliable data for onboard resource management. It operates reliably across a wide input voltage range of 9 to 70 VDC, and its low power consumption, under 50mA, minimizes impact on the vessel's electrical system. This flexibility sets it apart from proprietary solutions often limited to a single sensor type or standard.
Integration and configuration
Integration into the VE.Can network is achieved using standard RJ-45 cables with two RJ45 ports for daisy-chaining, requiring VE.Can terminations at the network ends. Configuration is simplified via two small rotary switches, allowing assignment of a tank type and a unique number to each adapter without requiring an external display. A single VE.Can network can manage up to 16 tanks of the same type, each with its own adapter. Power is supplied directly via the VE.Can network, though a separate VE.Can power cable may be required if the system lacks a Skylla-i or MPPT with CAN bus to power the network.
