VOLVO IPS Bridge

The VOLVO IPS FURUNO Bridge (reference 00003802400) is an interface module designed to establish communication between Furuno navigation systems and Volvo Penta Inboard Performance System (IPS) propulsion units. This bridge is essential for integrating Furuno equipment, particularly autopilots such as the NavPilot 700 series, with the Volvo Penta IPS Electronic Vessel Control (EVC) network based on NMEA2000.

Integration and Compatibility

This bridge facilitates data exchange to optimize autopilot operation. It enables integration with an autopilot system featuring adaptive software and a self-learning algorithm, which continuously optimizes autopilot performance. This bridge is compatible with Volvo IPS systems. Furuno autopilot systems can also be compatible with Yamaha HelmMaster via a dedicated bridge. However, it is important to note that it is not compatible with Volvo Penta IPS when the Volvo Marine Leisure application is loaded.

The module is powered by 12-24VDC and supports a maximum continuous current of 10A, with a peak current of up to 20A for 5 seconds. It provides connectivity via NMEA2000, ensuring integration with the existing network. The bridge's processor weighs 1.5 kg.
