Detailed description
Detailed description
Designed for advanced fish detection, the XSONIC Airmar B175H-W (0°) thru-hull transducer is a 1 kW CHIRP transducer. It operates in a high-frequency range from 150 to 250 kHz, providing a constant 25° beam coverage to optimize target identification below the boat. This model is suitable for vessels with a hull deadrise from 0° to 7°, thanks to its integrated 0° tilted element.
Performance and versatility
The XSONIC Airmar B175H-W (0°) can reach a maximum depth of 152 meters (500 feet), making it relevant for coastal and pelagic fishing. Its high-wide CHIRP beam doubles the coverage under the boat compared to traditional narrow-beam transducers, improving target separation and the clarity of fish arches displayed. The high-frequency band ensures detailed resolution in shallow waters, accurate bottom rendering, and clear fish distinction.
Design and installation
With its bronze housing, this transducer is specifically recommended for fiberglass or wooden hulls. It must not be installed on aluminum hulls to avoid galvanic corrosion. The transducer integrates depth and water temperature sensing with fast response. Its low-profile thru-hull design allows for less than 6 mm (1/4 inch) protrusion below the hull, minimizing drag and allowing compatibility with trailers without risk of damage. The Tilted Element™ technology compensates for the hull’s deadrise angle, ensuring the sonar beam is directed vertically toward the bottom without requiring a fairing block. The transducer weighs 2.7 kg and requires a 95 mm (3-3/4 inch) hole for installation. It features an urethane acoustic window. The Xducer ID® technology simplifies setup by allowing the fishfinder to automatically adapt to the transducer. It is recommended for boats up to 11 meters (36 feet).
