Detailed description
Detailed description
The BLUE SEA 12 Volt Plug (PN 1010) male connector is designed for demanding marine environments, providing a reliable 12V DC power solution. This model differs from standard automotive sockets due to its engineering specific to wet conditions and constant vibrations.
Robust design for the marine environment
Made from corrosion-resistant materials, the BLUE SEA 12 Volt Plug ensures stable electrical contact and minimized voltage drop. All conductive components are made of nickel-plated copper alloy, ensuring increased durability against oxidation. An integrated sealing gasket protects the socket's interior from water splashes and ensures a firm fit in the compatible socket. Its wide contact surfaces provide reliable electrical connection and it features a twist-lock system for secure attachment in a compatible socket, unlike standard sockets prone to unintended disconnections. An LED indicator lights up when the socket is active, and an internal cable clamp protects the wiring connections.
Technical specifications and applications
With a nominal voltage of 12V DC and a maximum operating current of 10A DC, this socket is suitable for a wide range of marine accessories. It is equipped with an integrated 10-amp fuse. The BLUE SEA 12 Volt Plug can be used for front-panel, rear-panel, or surface mounting applications, offering installation flexibility on board. In the Blue Sea Systems range, it complements the corresponding female sockets, forming a consistent and robust power system that outperforms and outlasts non-marine solutions in terms of performance and longevity.
