Suitable for 12V and 24V electrical systems, this charger features intelligent recognition technology to optimize charging speed for phones, tablets, and other portable devices.
Integration and marine protection
The 1039-BSS is specifically designed to fit into a Contura switch opening (cutout 36.83 mm x 21.08 mm), offering a flush and tidy finish. Its PCB is coated with a conformal coating to resist marine environments, and an integrated dust cap protects the USB ports from moisture and debris. This charger includes internal filtering to reduce electronic interference, as well as protection against overheating, short circuits, and reverse polarity, ensuring safe use on board.
Positioning within the BLUE SEA range
Within BLUE SEA Systems’ USB charger range, the 1039-BSS model stands out with its 12/24V power supply and total output current of 4.8A, making it ideal for most recreational and workboats. It differs from the 1045 model, which offers the same electrical characteristics but with installation via a 1-1/8" diameter hole (socket mounting). For 48V systems, BLUE SEA offers the 1038 and 1046 models, providing 4.0A current, with the 1038 also using a Contura switch-type mounting. The 1039-BSS uses 6.35 mm quick-connect input terminals for easy wiring.
