Detailed description
Detailed description
The Clarion CMM-20 marine stereo source unit is a source unit designed for marine environments, offering versatile audio features and construction suited to harsh conditions. It integrates an amplifier capable of delivering 4 x 25 watts RMS at 4 ohms, for a total output of 100 watts.
Connectivity and audio sources
The CMM-20 offers various audio playback options, including a global digital AM/FM tuner and NOAA weather radio for US users. Wireless audio streaming is provided via Bluetooth® 5.0, offering a connection range up to 11 meters. A USB 2.0 input is available, allowing playback of formats such as MP3, WMA, FLAC and WAV, as well as a 1A charging output for mobile devices. The unit also features an analog RCA auxiliary input.
Audio control and display
With bi-zone audio capabilities, the Clarion CMM-20 allows independent control of two main audio zones. The user interface is designed for marine navigation, featuring a large rotary knob, backlit buttons, and a 2.37-inch (60 mm) high-contrast TFT LCD screen with adjustable brightness for optimal visibility. Audio settings include bass, treble, balance, and fader control (Zone 1 / Zone 2 or Subwoofer), as well as four equalizer presets (Off, Flat, Pop, Classic, Rock).
Marine design and integration
This source unit is built to withstand marine environments, with an IP66 rating against dust and water spray. Its design exceeds industry standards for salt fog resistance (ASTM B117), UV exposure (ASTM D4329), and vibration. The CMM-20 can be complemented by up to three optional wired remotes (sold separately), with a maximum cumulative cable length of 23 meters, allowing control from multiple locations.
