Designed for demanding marine environments, the CYCLOPS Smartlink² 10t is a wireless load cell for precise tension monitoring on various rigging elements. With a maximum load capacity of 10,000 kg (10 tonnes), it delivers accuracy within ±1% of maximum working load, ensuring reliable measurements for rigging tuning and safety at sea.
Design and Technical Specifications
The Smartlink² 10t features a titanium body (Ti6Al4V), contributing to its light weight of approximately 360 g and high durability. Its compact dimensions of 93 x 74 x 25 mm allow for discreet integration. The housing is made of acetal and rated IP67, ensuring resistance to immersion. The device is powered by a 0.925 Wh lithium polymer battery, providing up to 2,000 hours of operation at a 1 Hz refresh rate and up to 8,000 hours in low-power mode. Wireless inductive charging takes 1 hour for a full charge.
Connectivity and Data Analysis
The load cell wirelessly connects via Bluetooth to the Smartfittings mobile app (iOS and Android), enabling real-time load monitoring, data rate configuration (from 0.1 to 10 Hz), and sensor activation/deactivation. It can also connect directly to Vakaros Atlas 2 and Sailmon wireless displays without requiring a gateway. For deeper integration, the Smartlink² 10t can relay data via a Cyclops gateway to onboard electronics using NMEA2000, NMEA0183, NKE, UDP, and MQTT interfaces. The app and gateway provide post-race data logging features, including 1-, 10-, and 30-minute averages, GPS data, and local time.

The Smartlink² 10t is versatile and suitable for numerous applications on running rigging, such as cunningham, downhaul, jib sheet, mainsheet, backstays, checkstays, Code 0 stowage bags, halyards, and booms. It is designed for easy inline installation with flexible lines (ropes, webbing, textile shackles), with a recommended strop diameter of 12.4 mm for optimal accuracy. Its straightforward installation and compatibility with major electronic systems make it a tool for racers and cruisers aiming to optimize performance and rigging safety.
