MCU-005 — MCU-005 Control Keypad for Black Box NavNet TZTL12F_TZTL15F_TZT2BB_TZT12F_TZT16F_TZT

The FURUNO MCU-005 is a dedicated control keypad designed to provide complete and intuitive management of Furuno’s NavNet TZtouch2 and TZtouch3 multifunction display (MFD) systems, as well as the TZT2BB black box processor. It enables full system control without relying on the touch interface, optimizing operational efficiency aboard.

System Compatibility and Integration

This keypad is compatible with NavNet TZtouch2 MFDs (models TZTL12F, TZTL15F, TZT2BB, TZT12F, TZT16F, TZT19F) from software version 6.01 onward, and with NavNet TZtouch3 and TZTXL displays. It is not compatible with original NavNet TZtouch systems or NavNet 3D. Integration is via an Ethernet interface, requiring a Power over Ethernet (PoE) type A hub. Power is supplied through the PoE port, with a consumption of 0.1 A at 48 V DC.

Controls and Ergonomics

The MCU-005 features 17 physical keys and a RotoKey™ for menu navigation and parameter adjustment. Dedicated keys provide quick access to common functions: scrolling, adjusting chart, radar, or fishfinder ranges, centering the vessel, activating 3D mode, entering MOB (Man Overboard) points, and accessing the home page or brightness control. The compact design measures 293 mm (width) x 100 mm (height), allowing flush-mount installation in various marine layouts.

Constructed with marine-grade materials and a UV-resistant housing, the FURUNO MCU-005 is built for demanding marine environments. Its front panel is rated IP56 for protection against dust and powerful water jets, while the rear face is rated IP20.
