The unit must not be submerged.The location must provide adequate ventilation and must not be exposed to extreme temperatures.Cables must be easily connectable.For IPX2 water ingress protection, the unit must be mounted on a vertical surface with connectors facing downward.The unit must be mounted at least 15 cm (6 inches) away from a magnetic compass to avoid interference.

To achieve IPX2 protection against water ingress, you must mount the MS-WB675 stereo source on a vertical surface with the connectors pointing downward. While mounting on a horizontal surface is possible, it may not guarantee this IPX2 protection.
