Designed to deliver an immersive audio experience at sea, the Fusion AP-FL65SPW flush-mount marine loudspeakers incorporate technical features for nautical environments. These 6.5-inch coaxial speakers are equipped with CRGBW LED lighting, allowing customization of the onboard lighting ambiance with five distinct colors (cold white, red, green, blue, warm white).
Design and audio performance
The AP-FL65SPW loudspeakers feature CURV® cone technology with a rubber surround, ensuring clear audio reproduction and robustness suited for marine use. The 25 mm (1-inch) silk dome tweeter contributes to precise high-frequency output. With a peak power of 300 W and a continuous power (RMS) of 75 W, they are designed to deliver high-quality sound with a sensitivity of 90 dB (SPL at 1 W/1 m) and a frequency response from 70 Hz to 22 kHz. The nominal impedance is 4 Ω, with a recommended amplifier power of 25 to 150 W per channel.
Marine durability and installation
These loudspeakers are built with a marine-grade design, certified IP66/IP67 for protection against dust and temporary immersion. They are tested to ISO 12216 standards for resistance to pressure, water ingress, salt spray, temperature variations, vibrations, and UV, ensuring reliable operation in demanding marine conditions. The integrated connectors are water-resistant to simplify installation and meet ABYC requirements. Installation is made easier with tool-free interchangeable grilles and concealed mounting holes for a clean finish. Physical dimensions are 176 mm (6.93") in diameter by 103.1 mm (4.06") in depth, with a mounting diameter of 136 mm (5.35") and a mounting depth of 77 mm (3.03").
Advanced features and compatibility
The LED lighting of the Fusion AP-FL65SPW loudspeakers operates on a supply voltage of 10.8 to 16 VDC, with a maximum LED current draw of 130 mA per color and per loudspeaker. Compatibility with Garmin Spectra™ technology allows for color combinations and optimized power consumption. These loudspeakers are optimized for use with Fusion car stereos and amplifiers (sold separately) to ensure a consistent system integration.
