Detailed description
Detailed description
Specifically designed for the marine environment, the Fusion 12 AWG (3.3 mm²) marine audio cable in 100 metres is intended to ensure optimal audio performance for Fusion speakers and subwoofers. Its construction is designed to withstand the challenges of maritime conditions, including moisture and temperature variations.
Marine design and construction
This cable features tinned copper multistrand wire construction with parallel conductors, ensuring high-quality signal transmission and minimal resistance. The outer jacket is white marine-grade PVC (polyvinyl chloride), providing enhanced protection against temperature fluctuations, flames, power surges, and oil. It is also corrosion-resistant, extending the cable’s lifespan in a saltwater environment.
Technical specifications
With a 12 AWG gauge, equivalent to 3.3 mm², this cable is suitable for robust audio installations. It has a temperature rating of 105°C in dry conditions and 90°C in wet conditions, with a maximum nominal voltage of 600V. Its VW-1 flame rating and oil resistance attest to its compliance with marine safety and durability requirements. The flexibility of the PVC jacket facilitates installation, particularly when routing through bulkheads or conduits.
