Yes, the front of the speakers is protected against water infiltration and they are designed to withstand harsh marine conditions. However, the rear of the speaker, including all connected components and wires, is not waterproof and must be protected from moisture exposure.

Use 16 AWG (1.3 to 1.5 mm²) tinned marine-grade speaker wire to connect these speakers to your audio system.

White wire: Positive (+), 6.3 mm spade connector
White wire with black stripe: Negative (-), 4.8 mm spade connector

It is recommended to install an LED lighting controller module (not included) to turn the LEDs on and off, change colors, and create lighting effects. If you choose not to install a controller, you can set a static color for the LEDs by connecting specific LED wire combinations directly to the power source.

For LED connections, use tinned marine-grade copper wire of 20 AWG (0.5 mm²).

If you do not wish to install an LED controller, you can set a static color by connecting the positive wire to the black wire of the LED cable, and a ground wire to the desired LED color wire combination. Here are the combinations for different colors:

Yes, it is imperative to install an inline fast-blow fuse on the positive wire, at the power source end of the LED cable, for each speaker. For Fusion XS Series 6.5-inch speakers with LED lighting, the fast-blow fuse rating must be 500 mA.

When choosing the mounting location, consider the following points:

The rear of the speaker must be protected from exposure to moisture. Select a location that provides sufficient clearance for the speaker’s mounting depth. Ideally, mount speakers on a flat, vertical surface for better sealing. If speakers are mounted outdoors, they must be installed well above the waterline and protected from impacts. Protect speaker wires from sharp objects and use rubber grommets when routing through panels.

No, it is not recommended to print a mounting template yourself. It is imperative to use the template provided in the product box to ensure precise cutting and avoid damaging the mounting surface of your boat.
