Designed for marine lighting, the Garmin LUX SL180 2100 mm strip light provides a CRGBW solution (cool white, red, green, blue, warm white) with adjustable white from 2700K to 6500K. This strip light is specifically engineered for marine environments, featuring a robust design and IP68 protection, making it suitable for indoor and outdoor installations, including damp areas, but not for permanent submersion. It resists UV and salt spray, ensuring durability in demanding marine conditions.
Technical specifications and system integration
Each meter of the LUX SL180 strip integrates 180 CRGBW LEDs, delivering uniform light output and a power consumption of 5 watts per meter. The slim 14.5 mm profile allows discreet integration in various onboard locations, such as coamings, under furniture, or behind panels. Powering this strip requires the Lumishore LUX Strip Light Driver module, which provides an input voltage of 23 to 25V. This module also enables extended integration with Garmin and Lumishore control systems, offering control options via a multifunction display (MFD), a dedicated Lumishore screen, a smart device, or a momentary switch, potentially with additional modules like the Strip Driver or EOS-LUX Command Center.
Installation and product positioning
Installation of the LUX SL180 strip light is simplified with a pre-applied 3M adhesive, supplemented by supplied screw-mounted clips for outdoor installations, damp areas, or tight bends, to be placed every 25 to 30 cm. The strip has a minimum bending radius of 50 mm on the vertical axis, with a strict prohibition against bending on the horizontal axis or twisting. Unlike other flexible LED strip solutions requiring user cutting and sealing, the LUX SL180 is supplied in ready-to-use, factory-sealed lengths to maintain IP68 compliance, prohibiting any user cutting. This design ensures maximum integrity for specific 2100 mm installations, distinguishing it from generic strips that may compromise waterproofing after modification.
