The Garmin Navionics Vision+ Gulf of Finland and Riga marine charts (010-C1249-00) provide comprehensive mapping of the region, integrating detailed data for the Gulf of Finland and Riga. They cover coastal features, local lakes, and rivers.
Visual Presentation and Detailed Contours
The chart presentation features vivid colors and a simplified interface, adopting a Navionics-style color palette for clear interpretation on your chartplotter. For fishing and navigation, these charts include high-resolution depth contours down to 0.5 meters (1 foot), providing an accurate representation of the seabed structure. Users can customize the display with up to 10 depth shading options to highlight specific target depths. A shallow-water shading function also allows defining areas to avoid.
Advanced Navigation Features
The Auto Guidance+ technology integrates to calculate a suggested point-to-point route, accounting for your vessel’s parameters and chart data. This function also highlights obstructions at a safe depth. It is specified that Auto Guidance is for planning purposes only and does not replace safe navigation practices.
Updates and Community Content
A one-year subscription is included, providing access to daily chart updates via the ActiveCaptain® app or Navionics Chart Installer software. These charts also benefit from ActiveCaptain community integration, offering access to points of interest (POIs) such as marinas, anchorages, hazards, and businesses, with recommendations from other boaters. The Plotter Sync feature enables wireless transfer of routes and waypoints, as well as chart updates, between the chart and a compatible mobile app. NOAA raster charts, offering a paper-chart-like view, are available for free download via the ActiveCaptain app for NOAA-covered areas.
