These charts integrate Garmin and Navionics content for detailed coverage of coastal areas, lakes, and rivers.
Extended Geographic Coverage
This product covers the Mediterranean and Black Sea, including the Azores, Madeira, the Canary Islands, Gibraltar, the Balearic Islands, Corsica, Sardinia, Sicily, Malta, Crete, Cyprus, the Dardanelles, the Bosphorus, the Sea of Azov, the Dnieper up to the Kyivs'ke reservoir, and the Danube up to Passau, Germany. Inland lakes such as Lake Balaton, Lake Garda, Lake Como, and Lake Maggiore are also included. Major ports such as Cadiz, Barcelona, Monaco, Marseille, Toulon, Genoa, Naples, Taranto, Venice, Istanbul, Odessa, Tunis, and Algiers are detailed.
Features and Updates
The charts are available on microSD™/SD™ cards or as downloads. They are compatible with Garmin chartplotters, including the GPSMAP® and ECHOMAP™ series. A one-year subscription is included, providing access to daily chart updates via the ActiveCaptain® app. After the first year, an active subscription is required to continue receiving new content. The Auto Guidance+ technology offers a suggested route calculation from dock to dock, combining Garmin and Navionics automatic routing features. This feature is intended for planning and does not replace safe navigation practices.
Advanced Cartographic Details
For improved visualization, these charts include high-resolution depth shading, allowing users to select up to 10 color options for target depths. Contours down to 0.5 meters (1 foot) provide a clear representation of the seabed structure. Shallow-water shading allows users to set a depth to visualize areas to avoid. Users can customize the display with various chart layers. The ActiveCaptain community enables downloading user-edited chart layers via the Navionics Boating app. NOAA raster mapping is available for free download via the ActiveCaptain app for relevant areas.
Garmin Navionics Vision+ Premium Features
The Garmin Navionics Vision+ version offers additional features such as high-resolution seabed relief shading for clearer underwater views, high-resolution satellite imagery for better situational awareness, aerial photos of ports and marinas, 3D views (FishEye View and MarinerEye View), and sonar imagery to reveal seabed hardness.
