Designed for navigation in Norway’s complex waters, Garmin marine charts provide comprehensive coverage of the coastline, major fjords such as Oslofjord, Sognefjord, and Vestfjorden, as well as islands like Jan Mayen and Svalbard. They also include detailed mapping of inland lakes such as Mjøsa, Bandak, and Norsjø, and canals, including the Telemark Canal.
Integrated mapping and updates
These charts combine Garmin and Navionics data to deliver rich coastal, lacustrine, and riverine detail. They benefit from thousands of daily updates, ensuring continuously enriched mapping. A one-year subscription is included, granting access to these updates via the ActiveCaptain® app or the Navionics® chart installation software.
Advanced navigation features
The Auto Guidance+ technology offers automatic dock-to-dock routing, accounting for the boat’s specifications to navigate through channels and marina entrances. Users can set up to 10 depth range color bands for fishing or navigation. Bathymetric contours down to 1' (30 cm) provide an accurate representation of the seabed structure, and Shallow Water Shading highlights shallow areas to avoid.
Premium options
For enhanced situational awareness, premium features are available with Garmin Navionics Vision+ or BlueChart g3 Vision charts. These include high-resolution Relief Shading for detailed seabed structure views, high-resolution satellite imagery, and aerial photos of ports and landmarks. 3D views such as FishEye and MarinerEye, as well as Dynamic Lake Level for inland charts, complete these advanced offerings. Access to the ActiveCaptain® community provides additional points of interest.
