Designed for coastal and lake navigation, the Garmin Norway marine chart from Trondheim to Tromsø (reference 010-C1252-20) provides detailed coverage of the Norwegian coast. This mapping integrates Garmin and Navionics content for clear and precise visualization of marine data. It covers specific areas such as Sandnessjøen, Bodø, Værøy, Langøya, Narvik and the Vestfjorden, as well as inland lakes like Tjeggelvas, Hornavan, Uddjaur, Aisjaur, Fluka, Storavan, Revsundssjön and Storsjön.
Advanced navigation features
This marine chart integrates Auto Guidance technology, which calculates a suggested route based on desired depth and clearance, while highlighting obstructions. Users also benefit from high-resolution depth gradient functionality, allowing up to 10 depth ranges to be displayed for quick identification of fishing zones or target depths. The shallow-water shading function enables setting a custom depth to avoid hazardous areas. Detailed contours, down to 0.3 meters (1 foot), provide an accurate representation of seafloor structure, shoals, channels and harbor plans, improving fishing chart quality.
Updates and ActiveCaptain community
A one-year subscription to daily updates is included, accessible via the ActiveCaptain® mobile app, ensuring access to the most up-to-date chart information. The ActiveCaptain community contributes to enriching the chart with points of interest such as marinas, anchorages, hazards and businesses, supplemented by recommendations from other boaters. The chart is compatible with modern Garmin GPSMAP® and echoMAP™ units and is supplied on a compact microSD™/SD™ card.
Premium features (premium versions)
For an enhanced navigation experience, premium versions such as Garmin Navionics Vision+ or BlueChart g3 Vision offer additional features. These include high-resolution terrain shading combining colors and shadows for seafloor profile visualization, high-resolution satellite imagery overlaid on charts, and aerial photographs of ports, marinas and navigation landmarks. Unique 3D views such as MarinerEye View (3D representation above and below the waterline) and FishEye View (3D underwater perspective with fishfinder sonar) are also available. For lakes, dynamic water level adjustment allows adapting charts to the current level.
