Designed for marine environments and off-road applications, the JL Audio M3-650VeX-Mb-S-Gm-i is a pair of 6.5-inch coaxial marine tower speakers. These speakers feature a 165 mm injection-molded polypropylene cone woofer with mica filling and a synthetic rubber surround, paired with a 19 mm silk dome tweeter. This setup is optimized for clear and detailed sound reproduction.
Audio performance and marine robustness
The system delivers a continuous RMS power of 60 watts per speaker, totaling 120 watts for the pair, with a peak power of 225 watts. The nominal impedance is 4 ohms. The frequency response ranges from 100 Hz to 25,000 Hz (± 3 dB), and the sensitivity is 89.5 dB at 1 W / 1 m. The woofers are optimized using DMA technology to reduce distortion and improve low-frequency response. The marine-grade construction uses UV- and corrosion-resistant materials, tested in salt spray chambers, ensuring durability in harsh maritime conditions. The baskets and grilles are made of UV- and corrosion-resistant polymer.
Integrated RGB LED lighting and flexible installation
These speakers feature multicolor RGB LEDs integrated into the sport grille frame, providing vibrant accent lighting. The LEDs operate on 10 to 14.4 V DC and draw 108 mA. An optional RGB controller (sold separately) can be used to manage colors. For installation, the speaker dimensions are 179 mm in diameter, 156 mm in depth, and 185 mm in height (including the mounting bracket). The system includes a rotating clamp receiver compatible with various JL Audio mounting brackets (sold separately), allowing precise sound orientation. A 3.05-meter (10-foot) marine-grade multifunction cable (6 conductors) is provided for audio and lighting connections.
