Designed for open marine environments, the JL Audio M6-770X-S-GwGw 7.7-inch coaxial marine speakers deliver sound reproduction on boats. These 2-way speakers are engineered with marine-grade materials to ensure longevity and performance in demanding sea conditions.
Audio performance and marine-grade design
Each M6-770X-S-GwGw speaker handles a continuous power (RMS) of 100 Watts, with a nominal impedance of 4 ohms. The frequency response ranges from 45 Hz to 25 kHz (± 3 dB), with a sensitivity of 91.0 dB @ 1W/1m. The coaxial system integrates a 1-inch (25 mm) silk dome tweeter, treated for the marine environment, and an injection-molded polypropylene cone woofer with mica reinforcement and UV inhibitors, featuring a synthetic rubber surround.
Durability and acoustic optimization
The marine-grade design of these speakers exceeds industry standards for salt fog and UV resistance, ensuring durability in saltwater. The woofers are optimized by Dynamic Motor Analysis (DMA) technology, which reduces distortion and improves transient performance and bass quality. The oversized 7.7-inch design, compared to 6.5-inch models, delivers increased efficiency, output, and bass response, enabling clear sound at high speeds. The advanced crossover networks, integrated into the terminal assembly, protect the tweeter and ensure uniform sound dispersion. These speakers are optimized for infinite baffle applications and do not require a dedicated enclosure. They come with bright white sport grilles and a discreet mounting frame, easily removable for painting.
