The JL Audio M6-880ETXv3 marine tower speakers are designed to deliver outdoor audio in marine environments. These 2-way coaxial systems integrate 8.8-inch (224 mm) woofers and 1.25-inch silk dome tweeters, specifically treated for marine use. They deliver a continuous RMS power of 125 W per channel, with a frequency response ranging from 38 Hz to 20 kHz (± 3 dB) and a sensitivity of 90.5 dB at 1 W/1 m. The nominal impedance of the system is 4 ohms, and an integrated passive crossover network (2nd-order low-pass and 3rd-order high-pass filters) manages frequency distribution.
Marine-grade design and durability
These speakers are constructed with UV- and corrosion-resistant materials, including polymer baskets and grilles, marine-grade stainless steel, and synthetic fibers, to withstand salt spray and marine conditions. The injection-molded enclosure is bright white, complemented by white sport grilles. A decorative aluminum rear-mounted logo cover can be oriented to suit the installation. The enclosure dimensions are approximately 224 mm in diameter and 376 mm in depth with the sport grille.
Transflective™ RGB LED lighting
The M6-880ETXv3 models feature JL Audio’s patented Transflective™ RGB LED technology. The LEDs are integrated behind the woofer cone, providing uniform light emission without hot spots through the cone. When the lighting is off, the cones retain a silver appearance. An optional RGB controller (sold separately; JL Audio’s MLC-RW is recommended) allows access to a wide range of colors. The LED wiring requires a switched +12V power supply and an inline fuse for each YELLOW (+12V) connection.
Optimized audio performance
For sound reproduction, the speakers feature long-throw woofers that enhance efficiency and bass output. The oversized 1.25-inch silk dome tweeter delivers clear, articulate high-frequency response. The system benefits from JL Audio’s DMA (Dynamic Motor Analysis) optimization, which reduces distortion and produces precise bass. Wiring management is integrated, with speaker cables exiting through the center of the mounting brackets (sold separately) for a discreet and protected installation. These speakers are manufactured at JL Audio’s Miramar, Florida, facility using globally sourced components and materials.
