Input sensitivity must be adjusted separately for each source and channel pair. Disconnect the speakers, disable any audio processing (bass/treble, loudness, EQ) on both the source unit and the amplifier, and set the source unit volume to 3/4 of maximum. Then, using an AC voltmeter connected to the amplifier's speaker output terminals, adjust the input sensitivity control until the AC voltage reaches the target level appropriate for your speaker system's nominal impedance.
