Designed for the marine environment, the JL Audio M3-770ETXv3-Sb-S-Gm marine tower speakers are a 2-way 7.7-inch coaxial system optimized for clear and powerful sound. These speakers are housed in injection-molded enclosures in satin black with sport gunmetal grilles.
Audio performance and marine robustness
The M3-770ETXv3 system features a mineral-infused polypropylene (MIPP) cone woofer with a synthetic rubber surround, paired with a 19 mm (3/4-inch) silk dome tweeter. It delivers 70 watts RMS continuous power per speaker and 225 watts peak power. The system has a nominal impedance of 4 ohms, a frequency response of 45 Hz to 25,000 Hz (± 3 dB), and an efficiency of 90.5 dB at 1 W/1 m. Passive 2-way crossovers are integrated into the woofer baskets for optimal frequency separation.
The construction is specifically adapted to harsh marine conditions, with UV- and corrosion-resistant polymer baskets and grilles. JL Audio tests its products in UV chambers and salt spray fog to ensure durability. Lightweight neodymium magnets contribute to acoustic performance without affecting the boat's center of gravity. Connections are made via gold-plated marine-grade brass terminals.
Integrated RGB LED lighting and installation
The sport grille frame integrates an RGB LED lighting assembly that uniformly illuminates the woofer cone area. An optional RGB controller (sold separately) provides access to a wide range of colors. LED specifications include a current draw of 108 mA at 12V DC, with a recommended fuse rating of 150 mA and an operating voltage range of 10 to 14.4V DC. Installation requires JL Audio mounting hardware, sold separately. Speaker wiring exits through the center of the bracket for discreet integration. The product comes with a 2-year warranty.
