Designed for the marine environment, the JL Audio M6-880ETXv3-Gw-S-GwGw marine tower speakers are 8.8-inch coaxial systems delivering detailed and powerful sound. Each speaker features an 8.8-inch injection-molded polypropylene cone woofer, mica-filled with a synthetic rubber surround, paired with a 1.25-inch silk dome tweeter. The system is housed in an injection-molded plastic enclosure (ABS) with a glossy white finish and white sport grilles.
Audio Performance and Marine Durability
These 2-way coaxial speakers deliver a continuous RMS power of 125 watts per speaker (250 watts per pair) and a peak power of 300 watts per speaker. They operate at a nominal impedance of 4 ohms and cover a frequency response from 38 Hz to 20 kHz (± 3 dB), with a system efficiency of 90.5 dB at 1W/1m. The design includes a 2-way passive crossover mounted on the woofer frame for precise frequency management. The M6-880ETXv3-Gw-S-GwGw are built to withstand marine conditions thanks to UV- and corrosion-resistant polymer baskets and grilles. JL Audio uses rigorous testing, including UV chambers and salt spray tests, to validate material reliability.
RGB LED Lighting and System Integration
The speakers integrate JL Audio’s patented Transflective™ RGB LED technology, allowing diffused lighting through the woofer cone, which appears silver when the lighting is off. An optional RGB controller (sold separately) provides access to various color variations. For a clean installation, speaker cables pass through the center of the mounting brackets (sold separately), keeping connections protected and discreet. The aluminum decorative cap with the logo can be oriented to suit the mounting application. These speakers are manufactured at JL Audio’s factory in Miramar, Florida.
