The Simrad NSS 4-16 MFD multifunction chartplotter is designed for advanced marine navigation, integrating chartplotting and fishfinding functions. This MFD combines performance and versatility for a complete onboard experience.
Display and Performance
Featuring a 16-inch SolarMAX™ IPS display, the Simrad NSS 4-16 MFD delivers 1280x800 pixel resolution and over 1200 nits brightness, ensuring optimal visibility from various angles and in bright sunlight, even with polarized sunglasses. Its Qualcomm® 8-core processor enables fast transitions, accelerated auto-routing, and overall system responsiveness.
Integrated Fishfinder and Advanced Capabilities
The Simrad NSS 4-16 MFD includes a 1kW CHIRP dual-channel fishfinder. It is compatible with a range of transducer technologies, including TotalScan, ForwardScan, Sidescan, Downscan, StructureScan® 3D, Active Imaging™, and Active Imaging™ HD. It features two 9-pin X-Sonic fishfinder ports, supporting depths exceeding 3000 feet. It is also compatible with the ActiveTarget™ Live 2 live fishfinder system.
Precision Navigation and Comprehensive Chartplotting
The integrated 10 Hz GNSS receiver supports GPS and GLONASS, with additional compatibility for Galileo, BeiDou, QZSS, and SBAS (WAAS, EGNOS, MSAS, GAGAN), offering 3-meter horizontal accuracy. Preloaded with worldwide base mapping, the MFD is compatible with C-MAP® charts (including Discover™ X or Reveal X™), Navionics®, and Simrad, integrating easy routing and TripIntel™ planning features.
Connectivity and System Integration
The Simrad NSS 4-16 MFD includes integrated Wi-Fi and Bluetooth. It offers extended connectivity with a Gigabit Ethernet port and 10/100, a Micro-C NMEA 2000® port, two composite video inputs (RCA), and an HDMI output. It is designed for full integration with radar systems (Halo Pulse Compression), AIS, Simrad autopilots (NAC-2 & NAC-3), FLIR cameras (M232), CZone® digital switches, and audio systems such as SonicHub2 and FusionLink.
