The Simrad NSS12 evo3S is a 12-inch multifunction display designed for navigation, sport fishing, and offshore cruising. It features a six-core iMX 8 processor, delivering enhanced performance for smooth screen transitions and rapid chart rendering. Its SolarMAX™ IPS display ensures optimal visibility from all angles, even with polarized sunglasses, thanks to a brightness exceeding 1200 nits and a resolution of 800 x 1280 pixels.
Advanced Sonar and GPS Capabilities
This unit is equipped with a high-performance fishfinder featuring 1 kW CHIRP dual-channel capability. It supports various sonar technologies, including ForwardScan®, Sidescan, Downscan, Active Imaging™, StructureScan® 3D, and ActiveTarget™ Live Sonar, via its two dedicated transducer ports. For positioning, the NSS12 evo3S integrates a 10 Hz GNSS receiver compatible with GPS and GLONASS, with support for Galileo, Beidou, QZSS, and SBAS, ensuring a horizontal accuracy of 3 meters.
Connectivity and System Integration
The Simrad NSS12 evo3S offers extended connectivity options with integrated Wi-Fi and Bluetooth. It also includes two 10/100 Mbit Ethernet ports, a Micro-C NMEA 2000 port, and two composite RCA video inputs. This connectivity enables full integration with Simrad systems, including HALO™ Pulse Compression radars, autopilots, NMEA 2000-compatible engines (Honda ECO mode, Mercury® Smart Tow®), audio systems (FusionLink, SonicHub2, SiriusXM®), and digital switching (CZone®, Naviop, ITC Lighting).
Navigation and Useful Features
Supplied with a worldwide base map, the NSS12 evo3S is compatible with C-MAP® charts (US Enhanced, Reveal, Discover, MAX N, MAX N+), Navionics® (Gold, NAV+ Platinum+), CMOR, Florida Marine Tracks, and NV Digital. It also supports automatic routing functions (C-MAP Easy Routing / Navionics Dock-to-dock Autorouting). The TripIntel™ feature simplifies route planning. The user interface includes a new dark wallpaper, an expandable audio sidebar, a chart orientation button, and a tide display bar. Screen mirroring to compatible iOS and Android devices and software updates via Wi-Fi are also supported.
