Christophe Barreau

The designer of TS / ORC racing-cruising catamarans

Christophe Barreau is a French naval architect specializing in fast multihulls. His firm is based in Ivry-sur-Seine. He also teaches naval architecture at the École nationale supérieure d'architecture de Paris La Villette.

Trajectory

Barreau has designed units for several French multihull builders: Catana (47, 471), Outremer (45, 49, 51, 4X), then Marsaudon Composites in Lorient starting in 2014 with the TS 42, followed by the TS 5 in 2017. On October 26, 2020, Marsaudon Composites rebranded the TS range as Ocean Rider Catamarans (ORC).

Recent partnerships

For several years, he has been collaborating with architect Frédéric Neuman on the Windelo catamarans (Windelo 50, Windelo 54), built in Canet-en-Roussillon to an eco-designed specification. He also designed the TS 52.8 for XL Catamarans and the Jeholl 43 for Trimarine.
