Archambault A35: the IRC racer-cruiser designed by Joubert-Nivelt in 2006

The A35 is a sailboat racer-cruiser measuring 10.60 m designed by Joubert-Nivelt Design and built by Archambault in Dangé-Saint-Romain from 2006 to 2013.

Design and construction

Joubert-Nivelt hull typical of the early 2000s: fine appendages, deep bulb keel (2.10 m), fractional sloop rig 9/10 with fractional asymmetric spinnaker. Hull in polyester sandwich via infusion/injection, standard aluminum mast, carbon option.

Model achievements and recognition

The model was awarded Sailboat of the Year 2007 by Voile Magazine, then “Best Crossover Boat” by Sailing World at the Boat of the Year Awards 2009. In racing, the A35 “Prime Time” won the Rolex Fastnet Race 2009 in IRC Division 2 against 76 competitors. The model has also won the Spi Ouest-France and the Transquadra, and remains active on the IRC circuit and in short-handed racing.
