Emmanuel Le Roch

From Nautic Sport to the Edenred team: thirty years between Carnac and offshore racing

Born in Lorient in 1972 and raised in the Quiberon Bay, Emmanuel Le Roch has two parallel lives. In 1995, at age 23, he founds Nautic Sport in Carnac — a sailing school and watersports center he still runs today. In offshore racing, he sailed on Primagaz, Foncia and Bayer alongside Laurent Bourgnon, Alain Gautier, and Jean Maurel, before launching his own Class40 project under the Edenred colors in 2018.

The Edenred Class40 project (2018–2024)

The Edenred partnership begins in 2018 at the Route du Rhum — DNF. The project is built over time. Armen Race 2019, victory. Transat Jacques Vabre 2019, 12th with Basile Bourgnon (son of Laurent), on a previous-generation boat.

In 2021, launch of the Class40 Mach40.4 no.165, Sam Manuard design with scow bow. Rolex Fastnet that same year: 5th. Transat Jacques Vabre with Pierre Quiroga: 7th. Consistency sets in: 12th at the Route du Rhum 2022, 10th at the TJV 2023, 10th at the Fastnet 2023.

Transition to the Ocean Fifty (2025)

In July 2025, Edenred launches Edenred 5, a 15-meter Ocean Fifty trimaran with foils, based in La Trinité-sur-Mer. Le Roch and Basile Bourgnon team up for the Transat Café l'Or — 5th in 12 days 10 hours, their first multihull transatlantic.

From 2026, Le Roch remains at the helm of the team and joins crewed races; Basile takes the helm solo. The handover is explicit.
