Guillaume L'Hostis, known as « Junior », from Fouesnant (Finistère), discovered sailing at age 6 in an Optimist. French junior champion, part of the Hope team, he switched to the Laser in high school and then trained in offshore racing at the Brittany Nautical Institute.

Intern at Alternative Sailing (La Trinité-sur-Mer) then hired: 8 years with the team, continuous training across all types of boats (cruising, cruiser-racer).
