SR Structures
British excellence in high-performance composite construction
SR Structures is a British boatyard specializing in the construction of high-performance sailboats in composite materials, based in Lymington (Hampshire, UK). Founded in 2023 by Sam Pellow and Ross Hotchkiss, two recognized experts in composite construction, the yard is located in the former premises of Green Marine and employs around 15 specialists in advanced composite construction. SR Structures positions itself as a key player for offshore racing sailboats and high-end cruiser-racer projects, benefiting from the British nautical ecosystem (Solent, proximity to equipment suppliers, skippers, and designers).
The yard masters all advanced composite construction processes: epoxy resin infusion under vacuum, hand lay-up, prepreg carbon structures, and has recognized expertise in the construction, modification, and repair of racing sailboats (Volvo Ocean Race, TP52, IMOCA 60, Class40). SR Structures' capabilities include the manufacture of integral prepreg carbon racing sailboats, large complex composite structures, and epoxy-infused boats of varying scales. The yard also works for the automotive, civil, and naval defense sectors, demonstrating the versatility and technical expertise of its teams.

News and outlook
SR Structures achieved a spectacular launch with the Lift 45 Maxitude, the first major project of the young yard. The boat's exceptional performance in its first season (3rd RORC Transatlantic 2026 IRC1) demonstrates the quality of execution and technical expertise of the team. The yard is experiencing strong demand for custom cruiser-racer and racing sailboat projects, driven by the recognition of British construction quality and the founders' experience in the largest offshore racing programs. SR Structures is investing in eco-design (bio-based resins, composite recycling) and expanding its capabilities to handle larger projects (50-60 feet). Proximity to Lymington, the British capital of high-performance sailing, ensures privileged access to the best equipment suppliers, riggers, and specialists in the nautical industry.
